her name's Lilith , also known as the maiden of the sea , or the trapped mermaid. she was once a powerful witch , known by many. but then , a pirate captain came by , and his heart was stolen by her. he asked her to come with him , but she refused , and the captain became furious. he locked her up in a cave , far away in the sea ,, never to be found and saved. every year , he returns with the same question , and he leaves with the same answer, 'for the sea is wild , and shall not be kept down until she has found one who shall be true' as Lilith would say. |
